Points to Remember
1. जब किसी वाकय में यह बोध हो कि कोई काम विवश होकर करना पढता है तो उसमें am to, have to, has to आदि का प्रयोग ( देखो वाक्य न० 1 - 2)।
2. जिस वाक्य में as if का प्रयोग होता है उसमें Subject चाहे Singular हो या Plural Verb 'were' का प्रयोग किया जाता है (देखो वाक्य न० 7)।
3. Not to mention के पश्चात् Preposition 'of' का प्रयोग नहीं किया जाता है। उसके पश्चात् Noun या Pronoun के Possessive Case का प्रयोग किया जाता है। Not to speak of के स्थान पर What to speak of का प्रयोग करना अशुद्ध है (देखो वाक्य न० 12)।
4. However के पश्चात् कोई न कोई Adjective या Adverb अवश्य लगाया जाता है (देखो वाक्य न० 14)।

Translate the following into English :
1. प्रथम श्रेणी के लिए मुझे दिन-रात पढ़ना पड़ता है। 2. वह इतना तेज नहीं चला कि गाड़ी को पकड़ सके। 3. वह इतना भला था कि हर संकट में मेरे साथ रहा। 4. मैं और मेरे पिताजी भी उसे उसकी सफलता पर बधाई देने गये। 5. जहाँ तक मेरा विचार है, वह इस मामले में सर्वथा निर्दोष है। 6. जहाँ तक मैं जनता हूँ, मैंने अपना सारा ऋण चूका दिया ही। 7. वह सूखकर काँटा हो गया है, यहाँ तक कि बिस्तर से उठ नहीं सकता। 8. कुछ भी हो जाये, मैं उससे अपने भाई की मृत्यु का बदला अवश्य लूँगा। 9. मेरी प्रसन्नता की सीमा न रही, जब मैंने सुना कि मोहन की पदोन्नति हो गई है। 10. अच्छे व्यक्तियों से मित्रता करो, ताकि वे संकट में तुम्हारे काम आये। 11. देश के कोने-कोने में नहरों का जाल बिछाया जा रहा है। ताकि किसानों को अपने खेतों की सिंचाई में कठिनाई न हो।
